Landis Productions was contracted by Alcoa Consumer Packaging Division to develop bag art for the Snyder's of Hanover potato chip line of products. Featuring a metallic foil printing technology, the designs needed to convey excitement but also create a "family of products" appearance across a wide range of unique flavor choices. Snyder's of Hanover connected with its customers on an emotional level by developing unique flavors that did not previously exist in the potato chip market. The end result is an interesting variety of flavors that buyers could imagine were made specifically for their favorite tastes.
Landis Productions has worked on a variety of package and promotion solutions for the video game industry. One such project was an expansion pack for the game Postal. Often, packaging for these game extensions do not have the same budget for graphics as the original game package may have demanded. But Landis Productions accepted the challenge and delivered its own brand of twisted design.
Alcoa Consumer Packaging Division has the ability to manufacture unique and visually stunning metallic packaging solutions. Landis Productions helped Alcoa pitch a line of holiday gift boxes featuring a variety of color treatments and emboss effects to Remy Martin in 2001. Bold sweeping lines and gentle metallic blends figured heavily in these concepts that hoped to enrich the emotional connection with the product—making it an attractive gift solution for the consumer.
Landis Productions helped Alcoa Consumer Packaging Division create conceptual design solutions featuring limited-edition can cases for Miller High Life. Landis carefully examined the design and heritage of the Miller "girl in the moon" logo to develop this striking deco-eclipse package.Holographic foil would be prominently incorporated in a midnight blue background thus creating a whole new mood for the "champagne of beers."
Alcoa Consumer Packaging Division needed to advertise their new shrink sleeve technology in a series of trade publications. The problem? How do you promote a packaging solution to potential customers if you don't have real world samples of a final product? That's where Landis Productions came in. Landis developed product names, logos, package designs and virtual product photography for three exciting new beverages (that do not exist in the real world).
Let's assume for the sake if argument that every brand of bottled water is exactly the same. Fresh, clear and refreshing. So what differentiates one brand from another? Packaging. Alcoa Consumer Packaging Division asked Landis Productions to develop some "looks" for a revolutionary new way to brand water bottles. Their idea? Use a transparent shrink sleeve applied to the front and back of a clear water bottle to create foreground and background layers on which to display art and product information. Landis developed a series of solutions that maximized these tiers of visual designs into unique (and often humorous) user experiences.
